2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Does a QUIET Muffler that flows exist?

I am looking for a 4 or 5 inch exhaust but with the same sound as the stock exhaust. No extra "rumble" or "drone". Just QUIET



I have found dozens systems but they all boast "better sound" which I have found, in talking with people and reading here, to mean "louder".



Donaldson and Walker mufflers seem to pop up in discussions on sound and the discussions seem to indicate that these do a better job at keeping the sound down but I still am not entirely sure if they are as quiet.



Anyone have an muffler that flows better but isn't louder than stock?

we tow with our's and like to listen to music on long trips we tried several and have them piled up in our bone yard. the set up we are using on all of our rigs is a 5" turbo down straight pipe kit from fbd and a donaldson m090535 muffler we use the extra pipe to get the exhaust out further from the dually fenders

Rip rooks exhaust is what I have. . bought it several years ago. . it is a 4" and under normal driving, it is not much louder than stock. . pretty quiet. . no drone... if you get on it hard then it sings. . cant remember what brand the muffler is.

I run the Flowmaster kit on my 12v, same deal purrs going down the road and really helped bottom end driving around town, I think to many Co. s think they know ex but dont know squat these days, its not all about big pipe and mufflers. its about spending time on the rollers and tuning the kits.

I have Rips 4" and it is quiet at steady speed, but like others have said it can get too loud for my tastes at wot. I added a 4" Magnaflow resonator behind the muffler and it made a world of difference. It didn't seem to hurt mileage or performance. It is a straight through resonator so I wasn't adding any restrictions.

Have a 4" MBRP. Don't even notice much noise while towing my Arctic Fox 29-5T. Puts my wife to sleep. .
