Make a difference in fuel mileage? I had some summer time fuel , from back in September before the fuel was being cut, that I put in a few weeks ago. Normally in the summer time, I get 20 MPG around town. When the colder temps arrive..... mileage goes down.

Now, I put in the fuel I bought from back in September and there was no difference in mileage. This is leading me to believe that the colder the outside air is... . the worse the mileage drops. Anybody have any opinions on this, or maybe an explanation?

Hmmm... how about this: in cold weather engine spends more time running at low engine temps... so oil is thicker... so engine works harder. Same thing goes for the diff fluid. Or if you're good about warming it up before driving off, that will obviously decrease your mileage, too.

from what i seen in my truck the colder the outside temp the better my truck runs. Fuel mileage is better, lower charge & egt temps. personally i like the cold weather for running the truck.
