No problem they just needed to be built..... I will speak with Formula 1 tomorrow and verify status. I believe you should see them this week though.

got mine in today... its doesnt start loping until full warm. . do u guys have the lope when reving too and goes away when in drive?

But how do they run? I mean, are they drivable if you are just putting around? I almost got one but was concerned they might not be as well mannered as a stock replacement when just crawling through campgrounds or exploring off-road. If they drive smooth, I would have no problem with a lope. If theyre more tempermental, then it sounds like they were named well - "Hot Rod", better intended for competition.

i have a set of 150 inj. in mine and it lopes accasionaly when putting around. . its kinda hard to get used to. i may downgrade to 100hp injectors and see if that helps the lope. i can tell u it runs cooler on the egts from the vp i had. it must have been max wornout. they run really smooth with a little load on it. they did say the bigger inj. amplifies the lope.

Mine is an automatic transmission so I don't have as much oppertunity to "put around" but occasionally when the torque converter is locked up and the rpm's are around 1100 or so with slight throttle it tries to buck a little. I attribute this to the HRVP44 because it was not there before, but it's no biggie for me. If you had a stick-shift and were doing rock crawling it would probably be unbearable but only at or near idle speed, IMHO.

Other that that it rocks :D

I have a hot rod vp44 from industrial injection, I have had it for about 3 weeks and I cant stand it. I will tell you what I have and why I dont like it, I have a 2000 2500 auto truck, afe intake, 275 inj, FASS lift pump, edge comp, ats manifold, htb2 60/12, 5" exhaust and full guages. The lope at idle is pretty anoying but its when your barely on the throttle trying to drive thru a residential area or when im in the mountains in 4lo that it is just a real pain in the butt. I have been told by the guys at ind. inj. that a smarty will fix this rough idle and fast idle. I ordered one so we will see. My egts are very high with this pump, have all the power in the world just cant use it towing anything. So what do you guys think?

MSugg. Yes the lopey idle fix is on Marco's to do list to offset the hotrod vp44 lopey idle.

Marco is very busy with the common rail smarty software.

Marco hasit on "the list" and will be happy to assist as time allows :)

Does anybody have a sound clip of the HR pump with the lope? I would like to hear it to see how bad it is. Thanks

After a few thousand more miles on mine, I have been running different mixtures of biodiesel through mine. Well, it really cleaned up my system, and my mileage finally went back up to around 20 mpg. But now I have a little more 'lope' at idle. Not too much, but I did notice the difference.

Just not sure if I want to go with a Smarty to fix this, and stay away from tapping the pump wire again (yes, I am running around with the wire untapped still. I want to make SURE it was good before I touched the wire).

Would like to hear it also. .

I came this close >| |< (. 12499) to buying one a few months ago, but the posts from people with low end drivability issues kind of scared me off. . Would rather have an old man sleeper sounding truck, and still be able to turn it on in times of conflict w/ the enemy. : ) -- Speaking of which, the plan didnt work out very well this weekend when a ricer drove around me and pulled away. . Now time to re-think the sleeper theory, and get a spinner thingy. . Till then, think Ill just pick on honda 90's in campgrounds.

Hey if the HRV44 drives ok while just putting around it would be ok. The sound might be kinda cool afterall. .

Question: Are the HRV44 electronics any tougher than the standard VP44? Like for when you add a tap wire box. .

They are supposed to have the best electronics to date. Not just a simple replacement part like the stock VP44s are.

I don't have drivability issues, and my idle is only slightly higher then normal.

Others have a much bigger issue then mine. But I have heard it has more to do with injectors then anything else.

I tell you though, running the biodiesel to really clean things up made a HUGE difference for my truck. And I have used plenty of the other cleaner/additives. Nothing worked like the bio! 125k miles does give it time to collect some crud though.

I've been running an I. I. hot rod pump for about 1700 miles now. No lope at all with my Mach 1. 5's & Smarty. In fact, it feels like I just insalled bigger sticks.
