As I was driving down the freeway today, a sense of pride came over me as I was motoring along. I tinker alot with me truck, whether it be cleaning it most of the time, adding stuff to it or just talking about a wish list I have for it. I get a ton of slack about it from co-workers and especially my wife (she has to put up with my hobby).
It makes you proud to sit high and hear that diesel clattering, sounding tough, knowing you can pull just about anything you want (realistic),when other truck owners look over and nod their head and you do the same with a grin, when younger fellows say "hey sir, nice Dodge", flooring the throttle in third gear and watching all the smoke in your rear view mirror in the headlights behind you when you get off work at night, it's something you dont get in your other vehicles. And to be surrounded by a bunch of other diesel-heads like you guys, tops it all off.
Cheers,
James
