Let me give my opinion a little less emotionally this time. The TDR is set up with rules. None of us have to be members. But - when we do sign up as members, we are agreeing to live by the rules. If we violate the rules, we have no one to blame for the consequences but ourselves. It's been said several times on this thread - these guys (who are on the booted list) decided for themselves to disregard the warnings. They made their choices - now they live with the consequences. Many of them were given the option to come back after suspension anyway, but chose not to. I agree that it's a shame some of these guys have left the site, but they made their own choices.
446: No, I don't own the site. My point is - for those who don't like the rules, be an adult and leave. Either you accept the rules and adapt, or just leave and go elsewhere or start your own site. Stirring up trouble is just a headache for everyone. It's not going to change just because some people are throwing tantrums - and it shouldn't. This has nothing to do with censorship or freedom of speech. This is a private enterprise, so like it or leave it.
Personally, I'm not interested in a no holds barred club. I think the rules here are very reasonable and easy to abide by. The rules here are about respect more than anything else. I also think the moderators and admin. do a very good job of giving people the benefit of the doubt and a long leash before stepping in. Oh - and before anyone gets the chance - I'm not a suck-up to anybody.
