I just followed a link to ATP from the top of one of our TDR web pages. When I tried to click back to the TDR the ****** web page would not let me. Some pansy ***** programmer thinks he's cute by trapping us once we go there.

I say toss that vendor off OUR website. ;)

If you click on the down arrow beside the back button it will list the pages you have visited and you can click on the TDR one.

I agree, any nut that thinks you will by something because they disable the "back" arrow needs to be removed. There was a lowlife comapny on the TDR before that had the site rigged like that. I emailed them and made a stink here too. What a buch of low lifes. They were peddeling a adjustable waste gate product. Wonder if it the same jerks. I know you can rt click and say open in new window, that is not the issue. The issue is the port site type of webmaster that trys to trap you on his site. Send a complaint to Steve, tell him you dont like vendors "trapping" you off site when you click their link.

Any link programmed to disable the back link needs to be strung up and killed IMHO. Needless to say these fellows will no longer have my consideration of business.

I deal enough with spam... . dont need it on websites too.

Throw em off TDR.

Wow, that's quite a reaction. Often where you run into that is a redirect page is setup by the webmaster, for a variety of reasons, not generally for malicious reasons. If you click back twice quickly, you will go back two pages (to the TDR in your instance). If you try to do it slowly, the redirect will load and redirect you before you have a chance to go back the second page..... nothing to get bent out of shape over.

Did you try emailing the webmaster to explain that you were irritated by that feature and ask for a reason? If it actually is disabling the back button (not likely), maybe they have a glitch in their system, maybe they had a page designed that was mad at the company and decided to insert that for whatever reason..... who knows.

Not to pick a fight, but complaints and boycotts that don't give the other side a chance for explanation/apology falls on deaf ears with me.
