You will have to buy one. I just went and drove a 2012 Megacab DRW - I must have one. Not if, but when. My 2005 is no comparison. They have done a really nice job with it.

You are SO right. We have had our 2012 Laramie CC for about 6 weeks. It is head and shoulders above any previous truck I've ever had, including Lariat and King Ranch Fords. It gets even better now that diesel is starting to go down in cost.

The Megacab has a lot of extra storage room which I will put to use.

I was impressed with the new mirrors - blind spot mirror are much better.

Remote start rocks

Quiet

Rode nice unloaded

Sunroof didn't interfere with head room - but I could live without it.

I might have a hard time keeping my wife out of it... .

I just did my first tow trip with my new to me 2011 CC 4x4. It was almost boring. Truck rides great, is very quite. I had to really watch my speed too. This thing is going to get me a ticket because you don't realize you are going that fast. :)

]3. 73 gears with the 6 speed auto. I was only pulling a 20 ft open trailer with my 57 Dodge on it. Probably only 7K lbs. The built in exhaust break is nice to.

Man, I am right with you on that. With my previous 2008 5500 Laramie, I had to keep the speed below 65 for two reasons: 1. to keep the truck on the road. It wanted to bounce on every bump and follow the trails in the road constantly. 2. To try to get decent miles per gallon. I felt very goof if I could get 14 or 15 on the highway with that truck.

The 2012 likes to try to go faster than 75 or 80. It is so smooth on the highway. I almost feel the need to invest in a Valentine 1 or an Escort.

Today when I was walking the kids to school a brand-new black Dooly outfitted with sidebox toolboxes above the bed passed by. not only didn't look good but it was quieter than cars around it. it was like a low flying stelth bomber.

Your 2005 may not be any comparison, but my 2005 is 100% paid for and is low mileage and still rides and feels like a new truck.

I don't even want to ride in a 2012.

Enjoy your new truck. I'm just jealous!

Send pictures.

I will be Sacrilegious; before you buy look around

I test drove a new 2011 F350 DRW in 2010. Fell in love with the ride, Room in the back seat, and the Power. I miss my 2005 3500 SRW at times now like when traveling long distance getting 21 MPG at 60 MPH. I converted just have not changed my signature here.

I still want to own an old 6BT for my "52" dodge truck that some day will live as a four door.

I will leave now. Sorry for intruding.

Congratulations to each of you who are enjoying your new Gen IV trucks. I'm committed to avoiding Dodge dealerships and new Dodge trucks.

For Goatram, just be careful not to tow a lot of heavy loads with your new Furd or you'll be learning why most of us wouldn't be caught dead on the side of the road in one.

I hear ya - I checked out the Fords. I also have a 2001 F-250 before my current Dodge. If one wants a huge cab and can live without a long bed - the Megacab is the only answer out there.

The king Ranch interior doesn't do much for me. The leather has gotten better. The first couple years - it would scratch really easy.

The one thing I really like about the Ford is I can keep track of the mileage on multiple trailers - that is really slick.

I also like they didn't take a bail out and they are made in America instead of Mexico. Too bad they don't offer a Megacab.

Also, they keep playing engine of the week. I don't care how good they say the new 6. 7 is supposed to be, it takes time. How are they supposed to get it figured out if they change engines every 2 years or so?

People say good things about the Silverado also, but there is zero storage inside the cab except the dashboard and floor board. I use my truck - it has to carry some tools, tie downs, etc.

I will be getting a Megacab SRW when I get ready to pull the trigger. I just can' tiring myself to spend the money right now.

Enjoy the Ford. I hear the 6. 7 seems to be figured out.

You guys suck:-laf Just kidding!

I only wish I could afford one of the new ones. It would be a far cry from my 2002. :{

Nothing wrong with a 2002 or a 2005. They still get the job done and they're still going strong.

2012 are nice, but I wouldn't want the payments.

jeepit, your 02 will go another 10 years easy.

I am still happy with my '05. It is doing well and is paid for. Those notes on the new ones just scare the _____ out of me!:-laf
