Thanks for the PM Heavydytyfd. I will let you all know how it goes. My VIN is EG221970. I heard back from Chrysler Customer Assist. They told me that the dealer quoted delivery time of 6-8 weeks was incorrect and I should have been quoted 10-12 weeks. As such, they are not looking into it any further. They could not answer me as to why their system was generating the delivery dates starting with March 7th, and not the dealer though.

I've spoke to Dave Smith Motors, and they had good prices, just very from from me here in NJ. I do think it is worth re-visiting however. I am shopping around for one already on a dealers lot as Joe suggested.

Your situation is very strange. As of yesterday it says it left the plant on 3/7, but has not arrived at the border. It shows it is scheduled for a rail car at the border today at 2PM CST. I would say check it again in a couple of days and see if the status changes. Just so you don't think it's just you, the same dealer has another truck built 2/17 that has not crossed the border yet. I will have them check in a few days and see what changed. I'm sure your dealer wants it to arrive as bad as you do. He had to pay for it on 2/19 when it went KZ status.

Thanks sag2 and Joe; I will wait and see if it is delivered on the 15th. I ended up working all weekend and could not get on earlier to reply to your post to thank you both; I am sure you are both very busy, and taking time to help me says alot for you two. (and all who replied) I configured a Tradesman with what I needed/ had to have and compared that to the SLT's package, etc... up the line. Much like Joe did in issue 82. As mine is a Ram Box (as is my 2012) it is much more difficult to find one already built with what I want to have in it as options without paying for things I wouldnt use or simply don't need. Here's what I ordered: Aisin, Customer Preferred Package 28A, Cloth 40/20//40 Seat, SIlver Metalic, Aux Switches,
Uconnect 5.0, ParkSense Rear Park Assst,ParkView Rear Back Up Camera,Trailer Brake COntrol, Spray in Bed Liner, HD Prep Group, (upgraded Alternator / Skid Plate, and Ram Box

Hope the info helped, DJ. I agree, it is probably best to wait a bit, especially now that you know that no one is just messing around with you. As always, you can believe what sag2 says in these situations.

Good news, it is showing it is at Swift Yard, Laredo TX as of yesterday. At least it is in the US now.

Pushed back again, latest date is now 22 April. This makes it 13 weeks. Very unhappy with the way RAM does bussiness; to say the least.

I understand your frustration, but once it leaves the assembly plant it isn't in Ram's hands any longer. It is up to the railroad and trucking companies to get it delivered. Doesn't make it any better, but it is pretty hard to blame them for anything but the time it sat at the plant waiting on shipment. It is not uncommon to have plant hold's for last minute flashes and minor fixes. They have better control that they get done that way instead of leaving it to the dealer to get things done before delivery. It got so bad a few years ago that the factory started charging back the prep if the vehicle was sold with incomplete flashes and repairs.

I have to think the inquires submitted by members of this forum had a lot to due with my truck showing up TODAY. It was trucked directly form the SWIFT Yard in Larado Tx straight to the dealer in Vineland NJ. Once I get my Boondock bumpers installed and my other equipment swapped over, I will submit a picture. Again, I sincerly believe that the information I got here, i.e. private PM with Reid Biglands email address, to member inquires with RAM finally expedited the delivery! Thank You all.

I guess ordering a new truck from RAM is "like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're going to get!" I ordered a new 2014 RAM in January and was told that it would take 6 to 8 wks, probably. The truck arrived in 4 wks! I was very happy with the experience!

DJ, you do realize that everyone with a new 2013-14 is coming to May Madness, don't you? It will be a chance to get real info from Cummins and Ram factory guys, and to ask your questions directly. The internet can't do this for you.
Even if you can't come, best wished with your new baby!

Joe, I would like very much to come to May Madness. Looked up the location last week even. Time away from work due to the distance from NJ are my concern. But- I'll take another look and see what I can work out.

I understand if it is impractical to drive, but airfares to Las Vegas are cheap, and my wife usually finds a rental car on travelocity for about $150 including taxes for a week. I think you would enjoy the experience and also learn a few things. Our rally is pretty laid back, like a family gathering.
