Don't try this at home - 3500 with car carrier rollover

I saw this when I went to Flying J in Aurora tonight. After they uprighted everything, they used the tow truck to perform some on-site body work, hooked up the trailer to the truck, and drove it around the corner to get it out of the street. The trailer was hauling a Camareo and a Four Runner, but damage seemed minimal under the circumstances.

I didn't see it happen, but I think he took the corner too fast; plus he only had two cars on the trailer, both at the front, so there was no weight on the low end of the trailer to keep the CG lower.

I wonder what type or brand of gooseneck hitch was installed? ie home made or store bought It must be very strong.

I added another picture (Pic 3). You can see that the gooseneck separated from the hitch, but the safety chains held. The truck was pinned under the trailer. It appears the the trailer and the hitch were not damaged.

And they say Dodge doesn't have a tough frame? Looked straight after getting put upright. It definitely wasn't twisted severely if it was twisted at all.

Stakeman. . I am hoping that it is not true, but I think that truck belongs to Dave Seeger. He has attended our meetings with Sean Flanagan... . boy I hope it wasn't him!!!
