Door handle lock/unlock not working

The door handle lock/unlock function on both the passenger and driver side has quit working. The fob still works to lock/unlock.

Any simple solutions that do not involve a dealer?

Check the settings and see if it’s been disabled. Settings>doors and locks>passive entry

Thanks. Passive entry is checked in the settings so it must be something else.

Have you tried new batteries in the fobs?

They got new batteries about six months ago. It is probably a good idea to replace one and see what happens. They do lock and unlock the doors and id me to start the truck. It is only the handles that don't work.

Both FOBs the same problem?

Next easy thing is reboot the Truck, means disconnecting both batterys and discharge the electronic.
Often that help curing such glitches.

The FOBs are not the problem. They function perfectly. The handles are the problem. They are supposed to open the doors when you grab them and lock when a button on them is pushed.

The reboot is a good idea. I will try that.

I would also try disabling and reenabling the setting. Give it a power cycle between changing the settings.

Childproof locks. I’d assume there’s a disarm feature somewhere. Probably in the 700 page owners manual.
