Hey MikeR
Did you ever get that rig dynoed after you added the pm3. I know you wanted to I'm interested in the results.
Jim

I have a question related to this topic. You can add just injectors whith no module? correct? You can also ad a module of some kind of which there are about 6 different kinds to choose from? Can you put one or the other in? and if so what power difference do they make alone in a stock rig hp wise, also paired together what diffenence in power hp-torque. I guess I thought about of just adding injectors to start with???

NDRmrod,
Yes you can add the injectors alone with no electronic boost module, but your boost will go beyond the 20psi limit for the ECM and you will set overboost codes in the ECM. Also, you must do the modification to the wastegate so it doesn't open at the 20psi factory setting. Without the wastegate modification your EGT's will skyrocket.

jims,
I can't dyno the rig because my clutch slips with any setting over 2. I was going to try and install a clutch last week, but the supplier was out of stock. I'll be on vacation until the 19th,so when I get back I'll get a clutch ordered and should get back to the dyno hopefully by the end of the month. I'm eager at the results too!

Nowel you said you had work to do and this doesn't look like work. Get out ant test the HOT ROD for the weekend romp to Yuba City. DD #ad

Yeah Rob,it was a 1-2-5 shift. I remember it well because he did it more that once, and did it on my truck too! I think Evans' learning how to drive stick on my truck had some impact on the life of my clutch. #ad

Evan, wasn't it hard to conduct a test of his performance products when you couldn't even shift the transmission? As I recall, you did a 1st to 4th or a shift that skipped a gear or two... and Mike couldn't help cause he was ROFLMAO.

was HVAC banished? this is not good. first carl now this. tell me if it is so and i'll update my sig line to include Nowel.

the moderators can't keep banishing popular contributors with out a backlash...

:p Dr. Performance thinks his stuff is real good and there are lots of people that are willing to pay $2,500 +. I stopped by his shop in Willsonville one day and they offered me a free dyno. At that time all I had was an EZ with BAHA filter. HP at the ground was 262. I installed the 275's after that and am now up to 330 at the ground. Total cost so far is $900. Thats alot less than $2,500. So I now have $1,600 more to play with. I figure if I research out the mods and do the work myself in a slow methodical manner, I can get to know my truck inside out and build alot more power for alot less money than the Dr. or Banks is asking. :D :D Us old guys got lots of time to read and plan wisley. No sense dumping good money when I can pay myself and get a whole lot more. :D :D

For the quality, I'd go with DD. Dr. Performance, who BTW probably does not have a PHD degree, is too expensive and does not provide the power as claimed.

I'd go with proven product and a company that will back up their product with real dyno results and someone who knows what they're talking about and does not BS. The only thing I've heard about Barry S. (Dr. performance) is that he runs his mouth off constantly about how great his product is, but can't back it up with dyno results.

$ 2500 to get 300 HP at the rear wheels is a major ripoff.

Also, his claims about not voiding your factory warranty is a LIE.

I'd be very surprised to find out that the so-called Dr. has any advanced degree. The name seems to be a marketing strategy.

Drp talks the talk, but

Diesel Dynamics walks the walk, 11. 96@111. 9 in the 1/4 mile,

740 hp with nitrous, 580 on #2 only, on the VP44. 787 hp enhanced on the P pumped 24 valve.

So far the best blast from the past is MM02 :D

By the way, for those who remember the east coast 11. 53 timeslip at 69 mph, DD has time slips at 10. 98 and 10. 44 seconds in the quarter mile. When you are old enough I'll tell you why all three of them are bogus, and of course DD is smart enough to know the 11. 96 is the true elapsed time. It has to do with smoke and lights but not mirrors ;)
