The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is expecting lots of Rams to show up for the Friday May 18 Test-n-Tune drag racing. If enough of us show up ($17 per truck) to race, we will get our own lane without interference from gas pigs!
This track is NHRA, and follows NHRA rules. Some of the rules that may be of interest include:
1. fuel tank must be externally vented and no higher than top of rear tire [I believe this is for gasoline only, but it might be a good idea to have a bed mounted tank empty for this event just in case]
2. nitrous oxide if mounted in drivers compartment must be equipped with relief valve and vented outside of compartment.
3. no flexible exhaust pipe
4. non stock floor mounted auto transmission shifter must be equipped with a positive reverse lock-out device secured to shifter/transmission (not frame)
5. hub caps and trim rings must be removed
6. Helmet mandatory for cars 13. 99 or quicker, SFI Spec 31. 2 or Snell 85, 90, or 95.
7. Shirt and full length pants, no tank tops or exposed feet.
8. No plastic oil lines in driver compartment.
9. Cars with slicks running 13. 99 or quicker and any car running 12. 99 or quicker must have a full circumference drivelline loop within 6" of front universal joint [I don't know what they will say about a 2 piece driveshaft; maybe 2 loops].

Of course there are more rules, per NHRA rulebook, but these seem to be the ones most likely to affect our Rams, so long as they don't run quicker than 12. 00 sec.

HVAC, please note the above rules, as there may be a couple points you may need to address if they decide to enforce the rules closely.

Well it couldn't be Nowel's fault if his rusty old Half Moon Bay Ram rockets into the 11's unexpectedly. #ad
At least there are no rules for propane so I should be safe. By the way Joe where have you been I haven't heard from you in a while, I'm sure you have been busy with May Madness. Don't forget ALL your tools this trip we will have lots of parking lot work to do, and bring a blind fold for the parking lot camera.

Yah, Nowel #ad

I just didn't want to hear any whining from you when the Speedway tells you to change your in-bed bar-b-q fueling practice, nitrous in the back seat, hubcaps, get a real helmet, driveline loop, etc.
Time to straighten up and be a real drag racer #ad
now that you are mumbling about getting a tow vehile for the Red Rocket #ad
After all, you already have two unfair advantages over us--your driver has young, fast reflexes, and he weighs half what we do #ad

Geez, I hate rules #ad

Maybe we should just race on the street like we did around Silverstate Motorsports.

Young, fast reflexes, weighs half what we do? I thought Nowel drove his own truck... guess not. #ad

Yeah, he uses Adam Force when times are tough and HVAC needs a WIN real bad. Adam is a scrawny dude #ad
who is so light he needs to keep weights in his pockets so he doesn't float away #ad
Adam also has reflexes so fast that he is gone before the bulb even has time to light up green #ad
His casual disregard for parts breakage ensures he gets the max outta his rig every time. If the rig ain't up to the max, you see oil dripping outta the bottom #ad
That's the way to win, but it can cost more #ad
