About a month ago, I destroyed a rear rotor when my caliper hung up. I replaced both rotors, Pads, and put in new slides liberally coated in antisieze. All was well, until a week later my trans blew, and it spend 3 weeks over at goerends.

I got it back and drove to work and I could smell hot and brake dust. The LR was ticking from being hot and cooling down.

I got it home tore it apapart, and cleaned it all up, relubed the slides, and everything seemed fine.

Drove it to work again and I could tell it was hot again, also the RR seemed a little hot also.

I'm wondering what the problem might be. Could the pistons in the calipers not be releasing fully?

Yes, that is absolutely possible. I've had it happen to me on an old truck. Pistons were shot and didn't return properly, resulting in partially engaged brakes.

Also check to be sure your parking brake isn't dragging. You must remove the rotor to check it.

I'm sure the pking brake isn't engaged at all. Funny thing is I drove it home tonight and it was fine. I'll see how it goes in the morning, if they are hot again I'll order up new calipers.
