My best time at the track was my slowest mph. I have my last kick at the can race slip with the old VE that says
R/T - . 441
60' - 1. 867
330' - 5. 735
1/8 - 9. 092 @72. 70 mph
1000' - 12. 068
1/4 - 14. 700 but at only 84. 19 mph because until I disconnected my tps and hard wired it, I couldn't ever get my transmission to shift into over drive with out letting off the go peddle. I ran through the trap at 3600rpm in 3rd. My fastest speed in the 1/4 was 90 mph by letting off the go peddle and waiting almost 2 sec's for the shift into O. D. but the time dropped off to high 14. 9 or 15. 0's.
This was running with stock POD's and a PDR HX35/16 and the last one was with a Garrett Ball Bearing turbo which was about the same size as the HX35. I've beat up on some Mustangs/Camero's/V10 Dodges at the track and had guys ask what I've got in that thing. Just tell them its got 360K little old 6cyl motor in it.
I would have liked to ran some times when I was running the PDR 40 but the only time I made it to the track with it on the truck, the rain fell and cancelled the racing after paying $96 for the weekends racing. Never did make it back to use the rain check.
