I ordered the 08 Steering Upgrade kit and want to put grease fittings in before I install. What's the best way to drill them? Do you just drill through the steel cap or is there nylon or something inside that needs drilled through? I don't want to contaminate the inside with cuttings - is there a chance of that?

Thanks,

Blake

Ive done it with many suspension components... I would ONLY drill thru the cap, if you drill thru the cap and find there is something under it that wont allow the grease into the ball/socket area, you can always just put the zerk in at that point and forget about it...

U joint caps can be done as well. .
