I have a 2017 3500 CC Dually Aisin. At take off, unloaded, there is a vibration in the driveline. Usually when going up hill and/or turning. No issue any other time. Friend of mine with the same truck but an '18 has the same issue. His from day 1, mine started at about 40k. Currently have 51k on mine. Thinking it may be the carrier bearing. The rubber material the bearing resides in is pretty soft but not degraded. I checked the rear u-joint at the diff and it seams fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

Custom 5" aluminum drive line, usually eliminates most of the problems. The rest of them require replacing the rear diff flange yoke with a regular yoke and straps.

As long as it isn't a problem, I can live with the shudder. Not interested in custom fixes at this time.

I think around 33-35k

Did you use Mopar OE GL?

Reason I ask this is because I had what I call "GRABBING" when taking off and turning. Dumped the OE and went with AMZ/OIL 75-110 and never an issue since.

The shudder could easily cause other problems that you think could not even be related. Machinery that doesn't run smoothly doesn't hold up. I encourage you to find the problem and fix it rather than live with it. Put it off and you still eventually have to fix it AND the collateral damage to go along with the joy of "living with it". I "lived with" a carrier bearing shudder on my S15 GMC. After replacing it, I thought I had a brand new truck!

If you do not consider damage to the trans, drive line, and rear diff a problem then it could be ignored. A 1 piece DS is an OE option on some trucks so that really isn't a "custom" solution. All depends on your level of acceptance of vibrations and shuddering.

Change your rear end fluid... My 2014 has done the exact same thing twice now... Has to do with the fluid braking down. At about 35K miles I took out the factory fill fluid with the shudder symptoms and put in Amsoil Severe Gear... 35K miles later shudder came back... This time I put in Mobil 1 Gear oil, shudder is gone so far. I think it has to do with the limited slip maybe... But corners, hills, with a slight bit of turning it would do it for sure.

Looks like I used Valvoline Synpower. It may have started after the fluid change. I'll try some Mobil 1, easy enough to do and not terribly expensive.
