Can anybody please tell me the pros and cons of the 2 approaches to keeping the sway bar in the OEM position? On Carli's website, drop blocks are evil, on Lorenz, its either/or, and Kore goes with drop blocks on all kits. I just got the Kore HR leveling kit (couldnt pass up the price), and will probably get bilstien shocks for the rear and eventually the Carli rear spring once I get the piggy bank filled back up again. This is my -for-the-rest-of-my-life-do-everthing-truck-(except racing); the most off-roading I do with it now is my annual Wyoming deer/antelope trip on a cattle ranch in which I traverse across the prarie here and there to pick up downed critters or get into position. That will include the unseen cattle track under the sage or minor washout. I will admit to a little "spirited" driving on occasion on the dirt roads to get ahead of the BIG ONE I just saw leaving the immediate area.

I have been reading the various posts and know that I will need to check my alignment after I install the kit (right?), but if extended links are the better way to go, I'll wait until I have them in hand before I start to disassemble things. I really only wanna do this once.

I'd appreciated any and all pearls of wisdom you would care to cast my way.

thanks, guys!

Drop Blocks are a band aid but they're cheap and that's what some guys want. They do the job, but the OEM links are very weak and you will be using the OEM links with the Drop Blocks.

I always tell my clients to kill two birds with one stone and run the ended links.

Wear them out with miles, or tear a boot introducing debris into the joint, and it will clunk.

The stems tend to bend fairly easily as well.

Hey Patmac just wondering how the install went? Mine is on the way, do they send new shock bolts or do the factory ones still work, someone told me the bushings on the Bilstiens are larger and i will need different bolts. Trying to save that extra parts run thanks.

JMielke-

I havent done the install yet- waiting for the weather to dry out long enuf. I did call Kore and asked why drop blocks and the guy said that they designed the system back when the end links were a little more stout, but for the leveling kit the blocks would be fine with the stock links. And the only bolts included with the kit are longer ones to be used on the blocks. I checked inside the box with the shocks just to be sure there werent any in there after reading your post.

I have a pair of Kore blocks sitting in a tools box, that was replaced with Lorenz ended links, if it mean anything to anyone. If anyone want the blocks and hardware PM me.

I replaced my KORE blocks with Carli links after the OEM links bent within the first 5 miles of driving after I installed the lift. I didn't even hit a bump that I know of.

Carli links are MUCH stronger, and they are adjustable in case you make other changes later.
