to make a long story short I test drove a 08' 4x4 dually 6. 7 6-speed with 3. 42gears yesterday and 62,000 miles, I know my wifes megacab doesn't get near the mile my 5. 9 does
I know the lie-o-meter is not reliable by my 5. 9 consistently gets 17. 8 to 18. 6 on the highway and hand checked is always with . 5 mpg
I test drove the 08 and with the 3. 42's and the rpm was very close to my 48re with 3. 73's
no matter how hard I tried on the interstate I could not get the lie-o-meter over 13. 4 on the 08' 6. 7
no thanks, I'm keeping my low mileage 5. 9 2-wheel drive with 56,000 miles, I'm not giving up 5 mpg
