Don,

His injectors were big enough for the guys at DD to have to quickly go make custom injectors once they saw they didn't have anything on hand that was big enough. I'd say that is an impressive set of injectors.

Think of it like this, you get your injector-maker set up and head up to the dyno shop. You put in the HUGEST set of brand X injectors. You dyno with them, and then you put in a set of your own that don't make as much hp. So what do you do? Of course you just go and make a bigger set so that they will beat the brand X ones. Would it be fair to say that brand X wont make injectors any bigger now?

whoa andrew.

i never said that. yes dd had injectors that made the same power as my mitchell's, but i wanted more as did they. they didn't even know i had the mitchell's in until after we dyno'd. they didn't care what i had in there becuase we were going to keep going bigger until i started to lose power. it had nothing to do with mitchell's injectors. although we might try and edm a set before we hone them to get lots of smoke for the n2o. i'm making the most that i could on #2 right now. but we hope that we can always improve. with the twins and there cam i still have very little smoke above 35psi. we are working on the smoke issue.

i talked with dave and he told me i was not the normal 24v customer almost everyone wants to drive there trucks on the street. he said those were the biggest ones they had tried. i hope i help create a new customer base for the mid west guys. everyone always said the 12v was the only way to go at the sled track. i hope we will open some eyes at muncie. and if i get stomped that's ok to. schied is 2 months away.

Jim,

I had a feeling you had several sets of injectors. The Mitchell injectors dont sound like they were junk at all. I heard they actually popped off, unlike the other brand you had at one time.

SP,

Its all good Man. Im just messin around with ya. No hard feelings?? Pour it on. I can take it.

Andrew,

Bigger aint always better. The DD stuff is generally smaller than the competition. This sounds backwards I know, but Lawrence can work majic with nozzles. They always pop too!!!

Wish I could go to Muncie. Big mosquitos and all. On a cool note, my wife finally had the newest addition to the family a week after MM.

Jim,

You could be a trend setter- getting 24 valves to pull.

I wonder if that hot rod pump will live like ours though?

Too many guys back here tow their 12 valve puller with with a 24.

Prolly the abundance of P7100 pumps from the tractor pullers.

Time will tell.

If they wanted to throw the kitchen sink at it it would have came away with a P7100 pump on it, thats the only time I would say "thats the best the got". Its still got the lil VP44 on it.

Where did this info come from? The injectors they used were in the truck long before Jim showed up with his. I know they were in there Tuesday... . thats when I showed up(8am). ALso the white DD truck dynoed on Wed or Thursday, and Jim went on Friday..... so how could they have known what Jim had? And the injectors in the white truck have been around for sometime... . I had heard and talked bout them with a couple of people.

Don,,Gotta love your passion for getting to the truth even as warped as it is,,I have seen the DD and Bullydog injectors back to back and seen the difference and know how much more they flow over the DD brand,,This is not a flame,it is fact and one already posted here for all to read already,,You say smoke is not power its just wasted fuel I say you may be correct partly,,Proper atomization of the fuel along with flow rate will enhance the spool up time and allow for much more efficent and wider use of power,,With the fuel sacks these guys call injectors I'm not sure how one could eliminate all smoke and make use of all the fuel available, even if you jam her full of squeeze to make it burn,,Again you spout off about injectors and how much better the DD's are but I see no indication that someone else may be able to run with them too. .

Jim,,I'd love to be able to go to Muncie, son graduates Friday from HS,more tests on Tuesday for me at Docs to find out whats going on here health wise, then today(sat)someone vandalizes my truck, excuses NOPE,family matters first then truck,,I'll make sure to embarrass myself at Scheids(and trust me I'm pretty good at it) for all to see,,I do realize to your truck is a improperly valved truck and not correctly valved, maybe someday it will transform into a REAL motor,LOL... .....

One last thing for Don,it does not matter who out here or the midwest makes the power you will not believe it,thats a fact,,It does not matter who I support or what company I am my own person and stand up for what I believe and what I know,. I am still waiting for your "factual" posts about their HP curve or its actual dyno sheet ,does it actually exist????,,I am like the rest here ,seeking factual info, not vendor hype, and have done the same in other endeavors I have and its got me where I am now,,You see,you still think I am way out in left field,I have dealt with those like you before, your bully or scare tactics will not wear on me,I just ignore them,,Life is so full of knowledge Don,you need to get away from the computer and phone once in a while and look around, your missing alot because its not on paper for you.....

I'll leave this post now so I do not end up being the guy with his hands slapped again,,Muncie, hope all that go have a good time, but,it will not be settled there, this will never be settled,,Its just like being around the NHRA/IHRA Hemi superstock crowd again, they all claim to be the "real deal",BUT,in the end no one helps each other and we are our own enemies there also,,Bottom line is this... ..... DODGE & CUMMINS = POWER and destruction of the brand-x stuff,,The sooner we are all on the same friggin page the better it will be... ... ... . I'm outta here Andy

msmtd,

Well heck, I'm flattered you would want me to show up. I am somewhat confused though since in the past you have been less than nice and even called me names. Did you have a sudden change in attitude? If for some crazy reason I decide to come play in your sandbox I promise I wont fill it up too much past its rated capacity like the neighborhood cats around here do:p

Don~

msmtd,

Do you think you could post the dyno sheet that shows the 950HP? That thing would go a long way toward proving your earlier claim.

Kat, I'm not trying to bash DD right now ;) , hence the use of the whole brand X thing.

He said above he never said that. I thought you meant at May Madness. . on the DD truck, not when Jim went down a while back to get some more power. Sorry.

And they did have injectors that made the same power (as Jim said above).

Ok I'm lost, never mind, DD did not make his injectors, they pulled them off the shelf.

what's up with you man? yed dd had injectors on the shelf that made the same hp as the mitchell's, actually the first ones i tried made 15 more rwhp than the mitchells. these were smaller than the ones that were in there white truck at may madness. but we wanted to see how far we could go. i wanted to make the most hp i could. the big advantage i have is the twins, and there cam. i have lots of air, more than they are used to. so we were able to make much bigger injectors.

What happend guys? Now thats Muncie's a few days away, no more :-{} and:{ ? LOL Are ya'll gettin' nervous about the reality of it? Not that I'm anybody, I've just been gettin' a kick outta' all the who's gonna' whip who. LOL I kinda miss it. :-laf :p ;)

Where's that Sledpuller at, he's usually got somethin' nice to say. :D

Just stirrin' the pot, Later, Rob

That Sled Puller guy is damn tired after driving to work 70 miles one way, and getting everybodys schedules in sync for this weekend.

I won't make Muncie until Friday night at midnight, have to find someplace to stash my pullin tires, (Eric will be sleeping, pound sand he said, wot a buddy. )

A lot of friggin work for a 10 second 300 ft blast that will prolly grenade my truck, what the hell did I start pulling for?

Oh yea, those $5 dollar trophys and $48 prize money. ;) :D
