Off Roading Installing Skyjacker 4.5" lift this weekend

Can the DT track bar be used with the 4. 5" Skyjacker lift ? I already have the lift kit installed, but that kit uses a drop mount for the factory track bar. It looks like the DT track bar has it's own mounting bracket. Which one do you use ? Do you keep the Skyjacker factory drop mount, or take that one off and utilize DT's mount ??

I only have a 2 1/2" Skyjacker lift, and the DT track bar. Chris Sutton (csutton7) has the DT bar and a 4 1/2" Skyjacker lift, so maybe PM him and ask.

DT makes two mounting brackets for their track bars - the "standard" bracket is for stock height up to 3" lifted trucks, and a different mounting bracket for trucks lifted more than 3".

I obviously have the "standard" bracket on my truck.

Rattlebox,

You have to use the DT bracket as it is completely diff than tha skyjacker bracket. I tried a 4 1/2 drop down bracket when i went to 3 in lift . But it produced bump stear. Because i heard that you have to weld the bracket on to eliminate flex. I ended up under the truck for 2 hrs with a angle grinder removing the part( tab w/hole in it going thru the crossmember) because it was right where the new DT bracket had to go. What a pain in the a$$ but the DT trackbar Rocks :D

Best regards
