Guys,
Just threw codes P1451 and P2453 on a 2012 4500 6.7 CTD. Would a re-gen be in order or is this a sensor problem ? The truck gets worked hard pulling a heavy camper and trailer. It has 42K miles on the clock and DEF as it was a govt surplus rig. What say gentlemen?

forgot to elaborate, sorry! P1451 is DPF system performance and P2453 is DPF pressure sensor A circuit low. Gettin old I guess!!

How upto date is your software?

There are a few TSB that address these codes and how they are triggered/monitored.

In general says run the latest updates, the P1451 says to fix all others first, the P2453 looks to points to a physical issue with the DPF.

But there are adjustments in software for the P2453.

It's interesting the stationary desoot. For example it says you need to have the P1451 present in order to run it, of course that may have changed, but that's how they list in some articles.

Good luck, maybe someone with some first hand experience will recognize this thread better.
