Howdy!

Need advice: I've got a red '99 3500 SLT. Me n the missus surely do like it, too.

The right fender started to crack n split this winter, front to back, right on top. I suppose the crack is some 10 in long, but no gaps as yet.

Then about 2 weeks ago, on a rain slick road, some goober went and slid/drifted into my left side (don't ya hate when that happens!) and cracked the left fender vertically about 3 in. , dead center in the wheel well. There is also a long crack where the fender curves inside to the wheel well from the very bottom left, up & around the transition curve from the painted fender to wheel well interior. about 18 in.

SO - now for repair techniques: Repair? Replace? Some other technique like hiding the damage with someting?

Thanks in advance.

I would take it to a repair shop that fixes fiberglass. Should not be a big deal, who does the best Corvette repairs in OKla City?

I remember an article in the TDR mag about someone that made some cool dually fenders with a built in flare. I don't know if they are in production, but I would fire a pair of those up, if mine were cracked.

I knocked a hole in mine a year ago and ended up paying $1,700. 00 to replace it. I checked all around the country for a used one and the price of new ones. It seems DC has the price set at $1150. 00 unpainted. Good luck!
