jd where are you going to school? im just courious. anyways as for diy i would the automatic transmission is not complex pnly 800 some odd parts. i memerized mine in a couple days when i was in school for it. really inside the transmission things can only go together one way. mostly anyways like i said its simple and the parts just fit right. as long as you assemble w/ plenty of vasiline(sounds bad but thats basically what trans assembly lube is) and soak your new clutches w/ new atf you'll be fine everything else like i said just sort of slides together. a manuel is a good thing to help guide ya along the way.
