I repainted my valve cover with Dupli-Color MetalCast. It came out pretty good. I should not have used the ground coat like they tell ya too, it would look much better over the bare aluminum. It is supposed to give it an anodized look.

I'll take some pics this weekend with it in the truck.

Looks good!

I was thinking about doing just the opposite..... painting the lettering red and leaving the background aluminum.

How did you mask the lettering? Did you get any paint up the sides of the lettering?

Steve

Nice..

Looks good! Much much better than stock. Looking forward to seeing it installed with some daylight on it. GOOD job.

JUUST GREAT!!

Now I HAVE to look at that pretty valve vover while I bolt up your turbo ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . Geeesh  JK

Really NICE A+ Mark!! That looks beauuuuutiful!

I didn't mask off anything!! I had to get the cover sandblasted, no stripper would even touch the black paint that was on there.

I just sprayed the entire cover, when it was dry I used some 150 grit on a 5" orbital sander and cleaned off all the areas that were originally bare.

It is coming back off in a few weeks again. The aluminum is real junk!! I want to take my time and make it nice and smooth. If ya look at it really close you can see all the imperfections in the aluminum.

I have to get it back on, puting a PDR HX-35 on SaturdayOo.
