I guess ill give my thoughts here. No one has said it yet. The reason the DMax can take so much fuel with a stock turbo. The aluminum heads are the reason. They absorb and transfer heat very well,so well in fact that the EGTS are much cooler on a dmax all other things being equal. I worked my cousins Dmax,and im impressed with the power,and useable towing power it has. Towing the Dmax can tow the biggest trailer out of the DOdge/Ford/. Chevy before overheating,again the aluminum heads are partly responsible
Robertyoke, there is no way a 3G Dodge with a TST box will hang with a Dmax towing ,it may outpower it for 5 seconds,the cummisn will be hitting 1700 EGTS in seconds and the dmax wil be running1250. Which one will make it to the top?
I love my Cummins,but i am very impressed with how the dmax responds to fuel and how well it manages EGTS in relation to power increases.
