Well I think the dealership was blowing smoke but there is (was) definitely a major issue with the Duracrap injection system. I had an '01 as well. Right before the truck turned 70k I noticed that it was exceedingly sluggish and running bad one day while driving home. Once I got there I looked and the whole undercarriage and drivetrain was coated in diesel and oil. Went straight to the closest Chevy dealer and they took it in (they weren't happy about the pool of diesel I left either). After much trial and error (and 3 weeks of driving a pos rental car) the truck had 8 new injectors, 8 new fuel lines to the injectors, and a new HP fuel pump. One of the lines, which were supposed to be stainless steel, had actually RUSTED OFF where it hooked to the injector and was spewing diesel under the head. The dealer said they had no way to tell how long this had been going on. The truck still felt very slow, even after I reinstalled my Edge Juice. Plus, I was extremely concerned about the fuel line because if it had been like that for a while then theoretically the diesel fuel could have washed all the oil off the valves and everything underneath there causing premature wear. Personally, with the lack of customer care and support from GM, as well as a shoddy engine design in my opinion, I'm not going to buy another GM product for a very long time, if ever. My Cummins stock drives like my Dmax with the Juice on Level 2. Just my $0. 02 worth.
