I have done most of my cab already, and still have some "FatMat" left, and I'm wondering if it will hold up to under hood heat if I replace the hood liner (which looks like crap) with FatMat.

Will it hold, or will the glue melt under high engine heat and then fall on the motor?

I think it would work pretty well if you have the paint really clean. I put dynamat on my oil pan and it held really well until the oil soaked into it.

I had always thought the purpose of the mat to simply attempt to quite the engine, so I ripped mine out as it was already falling out. Now the snow melts off it a lot faster in the winter.
