That's pretty impressive, where can I find info on the EZ? Where did you get your truck Dyno'ed at and what did it cost? Was it a Dynojet dyno? And did they have trouble getting an RPM reading?

Really? I didn't know they had a Dyno in Belgrade again. My buddies girlfriend worked for them and she said they sent their dyno to Vegas. I had my old one on the dyno in Billings at G & C Auto, they had trouble getting an RPM reading, Dynojet was no help at all.
I've heard some about a chip a guy at dynojet in Belgrade is making for the 24v, do you know anything about it?

Atta Boy Cumminntstrkn,

I knew you were up there! That's great! What are your EGT's running? I know when I step up the HP it gets hot, about 1600. I'm going to have to look for a HX40 or H2E turbo.

CUMINNTSTRKN,

Very impressive numbers! I've got a bone stock ETH and have been considering a box and injectors. I have just about settled on the EZ, but have not decided on injectors yet. I was originally thinking 275 RV's but if I can go with DD1's or 2's without EGT problems, excessive smoke, or driveability problems why not?
I will probably bomb in stages: Gauges, followed by either the EZ or injectors, what's the consensus (SP? this thing need a spellchecker!) on the proper order. I don't want to do everything at once because I know my clutch will not hold up. I figure if I drive somewhat conservatively with just the box or injectors for a year or so, maybe I can get my money's worth out of the stock clutch and by that time have more to choose from in the clutch department.

Please don't lose patience with this "newby" who keeps posting asking for bombing advice but dosen't do anything! I really am going to "fly into it" in the next couple of weeks, just can't decide exactly how to proceed.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

i would suggest the ez first, otherwise you will not be able to up your boost without a boost module. the ez has one built in. my dd2's smoke if i want them to #ad
if i get on it before the boost has a chance to come up i get alot of smoke. but if i drive it nice, it doesn't smoke at all. the worst it has ever smoked was on the dyno. i still have my stock clutch and it's doing okay but a new clutch is next. my highest egt so far has been 1350. i guess it's time for a 4" exhaust. and maybe get rid of my stock airflter.

as far as i know dynojet does not make a chip for the dodge. in order to get rpm you have to put a peice of reflective tape on the balancer and the optional pickup. the pickup is magnetic and it looks at the tape to measure rpm.

Jim, those are great numbers. I was wondering if you had any idea what it was doing stock

RedRam1, I would also suggest the Ez as the first Bomb, after the gauges. The injectors are up to you, I don't know if you will last a year on that clutch with stage II's, maybe stage one injectors, but I think that might even be pushing the clutch, especially if you tow anything. I would not be too concerned at the smoke issue, even with stage III's I can do a somewhat slow start with very lttle smoke.

I'm confused, the #'s in the graph represent RWH/RWTq. . right?... the figures in the first post represent, an estimate of flywheel HP/Tq, is that how I should be reading this. . ?, My truck sure don't feel like 391HP/800FPT to me...

they are not an estimate they are corrected #'s that i gave in my first post. the #'s in the graphs are also corrected. sae is a standard that the dyno manufactures use so people can compare there #'s at different elevations, temps, humidty and so on.

what mods have you done to your truck?

You guys running DD2's and EZ's are they the DD fuel box or the EZ Box? What would be the Pros and cons of either of these? Can't make up my mind which one to get. I allready have the DD2's and a clutch upgrade.

Thanks

Kent

Get the DDTM, since you already have their injectors. The DDTM box is an EZ box just with a slightly different program parameters. Either way you can't go wrong.

Both are made by Edge Products.

CCaHill,

Maybe I can explain, the numbers posted at the beginning of this post;

391 HP and 822 ft/lbs of torque are after Jim installed DDII's at our Northwest BOMBing on February 17th.

The Dyno graph was before he installed the DDII's. It shows the stock numbers at the rear wheels and then the numbers with the EZ installed. This dyno graph is in reference to my post asking Jim where his orginal Dyno run was.

All numbers are rear wheel numbers, graph showing stock and with EZ only. The numbers starting this post are with EZ and DDII's.

Jim,
These numbers are great! Look like the DDII's gave you an additional 100 HP! WOW! #ad

Cumminntstrkn,

Still watching and investigating clutches. I have to order one in March so I can get it installed before Dyno Days. I still have to get the EGT's under control.

What are your egt's running?

i finally pulled a small trailer 5000#'s and the hight egt i could get was 1400 that was at wot for 2 or 3 min. so it looks like i need a jardine 4" exhaust to cool it down while towing.
