This thread is a perfect example of why "the people who know" Dont Post. Take that for what it's worth. LOL.

Do you usually see lower than normal numbers on a load dyno?

Cliff notes version for Winspeed-
*Peak numbers don't tell the whole story. Understand the area under the curve.
*Correction factors vary. Know what they are when you attempt to compare runs
* Inertia dyno's will work on turbo diesels. Loading will too. In some cases, loading dyno's are more operator dependant than inertia so numbers can vary between operators more so than a Dyno Jet. In some cases a loading dyno will work turbo's better than inertia. I've seen consistant results from all of them.
* Dyno's are tools. Engine, chassis, loading, inertia, ALL of them are tools to aid in performance tuning.
* If you drag race, I provided a calculator that I found to be the best one so far. These are estimates and will not always be dead-on, but in most cases this one seems to be consistant with MY dyno numbers against most every vehicle I have compared. You must use mph, not ET. Just another tool.
* Have fun with the tools and keep an open mind. You may learn something.
That's it. Didn't mean to start a war, didn't mean to trash any other dyno, didn't mean to appear to be a know-it-all on the subject either.

A shame for sure - but not too surprising in a mixed group I guess - the only defense some have to fact and logic is personal attack and insult - the "verbal bully" or "schoolyard mentality"... :-{}![]()
I've had a few similar episodes - one currently in another thread - where some of the cruder and "logic-challenged" immediately abandon sticking to the subject and it's issues, and resort to what they are left with and do best, personal attack and ridicule against ANY who would DARE question THEIR opinions or beliefs. They seem to feel the one who shouts the loudest, or uses the best insult, wins the debate - totally oblivious to the fact that THEY lost as soon as they departed from the subject, and typed the first juvenile personal attack...![]()
Personally, *I* feel they and their tactics are more to be pitied, than anything else - they have to live with themselves - the rest of us only rarely come in contact with them...![]()
