E-mail notification....

I've been living without e-mail notices for a while now. I just go to User CP righ twhen I get here to check for PM's and replied to threads...

Our IP address is 139. 81. 139. 106 but it doesn't appear on the MAPS list - so they are rejecting it via one of their other 3 methods that they listed. I'll try to contact RR and see what they have to say.

I tried calling them, , but I guess I couldn't give them the technical informtion they wanted, as I just kept goin' in circles.

Not easy people to get ahold of. I chatted online with one of their tech people (took about 20 minutes to find where to get through to them) and they sent me to their spamblock email address. I've emailed them with the details and we'll see what they have to say.

Thanks for all you do to help make our site what it is. I realize most problems are user error related.



My questions:



1 - I received a PM from Hammer 3/16 re: a grill he has which I might be interested in, I "replied" to his PM. Since he hasn't replied I checked my sent folder to be sure I sent him a PM, the reply wasn't in my sent folder? Do direct replies to PM's not save there? Do we have to create new message for it to save in sent?



2 - I sent a PM to 911 moderator (Parks I believe) asking that my most recent post (Titled "LP - Need new delivered by Friday" words to that effect) be deleted, I'm pretty sure I included the link. I posted it and the next day tried to delete it myself since no one had replied, and basically I think I figured it out on my own, anyway I couldn't delete it? Also, not in the sent folder?



3 - Is it possible I'm doing something wrong? Once I'm completed with the message I click the "send message" button at bottom of screen?



Ah, I guess if you receive this note at least I know I'm sending correctly. I'll check to see if it saved to my sent folder?



I'm going to cut and past this message to WORD, as I have lost things before and had to re-type entire messages.

You have a response in your PM folder Joe. Basically, PM's are not saved by default - you need to check a box at the bottom when you are composing one to have it saved.



I'm still waiting on a response from road runner on the email problem. I've emailed them the information they requested and haven't heard back from them. I'm going to be a bit distracted for some time as I found out yesterday that I'm going to have some surgery coming up. I'm on extremely strong pain killers to control the pain while I wait for the surgeries and when I'm in extreme pain or on the pain killers my brain isn't exactly working right. Please bear with me.

Now I really wonder what is going on? I registered with www.hondaclub.com and it looks like they use the same program (vBulletin)as the TDR does for the forums. When I registered yesterday I never got my password or anything e-mailed from them. If you go through their automatic password retrieval to have your password e-mailed to you... . I do not receive and e-mial. I closed all my ad blocking and anti-virus software and still got nothing. In outlook you can run a check to see if you e-mail is set up correctly..... it runs it back through your isp server then back to you, and that all checked right. I am at a total loss now... ... And Like i said before I do not have roadrunner as some of the other gentleman do. So this is crazy... ..... Two websites with the same problem, different ISP's being used by the members... ... .....
