My turn for help

Son says Daddy, How was I born (humor)

I just received another email from someone pretending to be from eBay saying that my bank has contacted eBay because there are charges on my credit card leading them to believe that someone has access to my eBay account. It went on to say that if I do not respond within 48 hours and update my account, my account would be suspended. I'm not a dummy so both messages were forwarded to eBay and they emailed me back saying the emails were not legit eBay messages. I had the same deal with a fake Paypal email months ago as well. Just be aware and remember these companies will never ask for info like this through email.

I got one like that the other day from "u. s. bank" wanting information about my account. Only thing is, I've never had an account with whoever they are.

Bill:

I got that same email from US Bank, and like you, I have never had any accounts with them as well.

I forwarded the email to my ISP's "abuse" section.

In the past, I have also gotten the e-bay scam message as well.

Be careful amd stay safe... ... ...

As big jake suggests, the best thing to do is to view the Properties "Details", copy and past them into the top of the original email, and then forward to your ISP's fraud department. What your ISP does with them is another story.
