Hello fellow 3rd gen owners,

I have a question about ECM availability. I have my 2004 in the shop w/ a no start problem; after trouble shooting, the problem seems to be w/ ECM. The shop told me that he had problems getting the ECM, but did finally locate one and hopefully will have it soon. Is there a shortage???? Do they not go bad????? Seems to me w/ all the trucks on the road and the shops that specifically work on Cummins they would be pretty easy to find. The shop used the vin, the number on the ECM and the numbers on valve cover side to order correct one. See my post in 911 "2004.5 cranks won't start for details if you want"...3 weeks down:{

Thanks in advance
Rooster

I received a letter from dodge 2 yrs ago saying that my ECM was lifetime warranty. Mines an 05

the live time warranty was for the readiness of the sensors not communicating for smog. I have the letter pm me with an email and i will send it to you.
