I could never purchase the Nissan Cummins truck no matter how good the specs are - I just can't drive ugly!

I agree with you 100%. The ugliest truck on the market in my opinion.

It's a good thing I wouldn't have to look at it while driving if I end up buying one. I've been talking to one of our local Nissan dealers about one today. It's a white work truck with black bumpers and a black grill. Cummins 5.0L Crew Cab 4x4 with the base package with just the spray in bed liner and trailer hitch as options. The two real big selling points to me are the 5 year/100000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and a price, at least with this low end truck, that is just slightly above the cost of a comparable gas 1/2 ton of the big three. Not quite ready to bite just yet, but it is definitely on the top of my list.

On edit, this would be as a replacement for our 2010 Ram 1500.

I’ve always been a fan of Dodge, (NOT RAM) but I remember when the other two Makes were better in looks, but we still bought them. I buy Dodge trucks because their built better and not full of the fluffy crap, or at least they weren’t. Now some are like climbing into a cockpit. The only Dodge that disappointed me was the 2014 2500 CTD that I drove, thankfully my money didn’t buy it. What a POC and Dodge had to buy it back. I could get by with the fuggly front end of the Titan HD, but the price is rediculous.

Nissan ugly? It definitely won't win any beauty contest, but one of those sayings from long ago kinda fits here--"Pretty is as pretty does". A friend traded his 6.4 Ford for a Cummins Nissan, and so far, so good. He pulls a 24 ft (?) aluminum stock trailer with a horse or two and his carriage for shows, weddings, etc.

I'm guessing that the one that I looked at today can be had in the upper $30's (sticker of approximately $46750). They have already come way off of MSRP and haven't even tried to talk price yet since I'm just casually looking.

Your right about the 10K discount now, but when I was wanting to buy in May of 2016 they wouldn’t budge. I was looking for 1/2ton or less and waited for the new Titan HD, the platinum was about all you saw, and weren’t even 4X4, at 48-58K. Now they keep only a very few on the lots with a lot more in the gas version. It’s OK, I really like my Tacoma for 32K with the better TRD Off-road 4X4 version. I saved 15 to 20K from a Eco Diesel/Titan HD
