Well after buying this 2001 3500 Quad Cab for $19k, I have dropped almost $4000 in bombing toys, upgrades and new tires to make this thing get out of it's own way.

To date I have added a set of DDIIs injectors and Edge Comp from Piers:D :D . And of course once the power was there the stock clutch had to go, So next call was to Peter at South Bend Clutch for a OFE setup:D :D. To let the Cummins flow, I did a ton of looking around for a 4" exhaust and went with the Bank's Monster 4" stainless steel exhaust system. And here are the results.

Combining the Edge Comp and the DDII's, two words, "Yee Haw"

I am getting noticeably better mileage, but its hard to keep my foot out of it ;) . This was the setup that Piers recommended, and boy does he know his stuff.

The OFE Clutch from South Bend Clutch, Much lighter petal, this clutch is much more drivable than stock, and holds the power, One word for SBC, "OUTSTANDING":D

The Monster 4" Stainless exhaust from Bank's, is one very nice piece of work:D . This exhaust system is TRULY BOLT ON, and is a piece of cake to install. ALL the clamps hangers fit OEM mounting and there is nothing to modify to make it fit. And the really cool thing is the Bank's S. S. system is only $659, not much more than BD and others. I have installed 2 other exhaust systems and they were a complete pain to install, and both were lacking documentation.

I just want to put some praise out there for some of the vendors, for a change. Also make note, I am NOT connected to any of these vendors, just wanted to pass on a good experience.

Congrats Kyle! I'm going to get one of the SBC OFE clutches when mine wears out. Man you got a great deal on the truck ;) Now whats next :)

Pit Bull,

My clutch "wore out" real soon after the PE comp. I've heard of nobody actually wearing out a stock clutch. I've seen posts where guys went over 150K on a stock clutch.

I think he is looking for the clutch setup out of a 6 speed with the 13" clutch. So my old stock 5 speed clutch is up for grabs.
