fuel pressure guage install

Excellent customer service.

Ok, I posted my original problem under the no power and didn't have the response I'd hoped for.

I installed the Comp and it worked GREAT for 3 days... now it only seems to work (a little bit) on levels 1 and 2. Levels 3-5 it acts like a pooch. I'm still getting good boost (about 24psi) but it just takes a while to get there. I might think that the clutch was slipping but I ran the crap out of it and there's no clutch smell at all and it still grabs awesome when taking off/shifting. I've heard talk about the pump wire not having a good contact??

So far I have:

1. unhooked the Comp

2. checked all the connections and put grease in all of them

3. changed the fuel filter (a little dirty w/only about 5k on it)

On a good note, I noticed that my drivers side battery was bubbling so I replaced it tonight and noticed that my LP started working a lot better. With the old battery it sounded like it was dying when filling the fuel canister and now it sounds like a brand new one and my FP went up from 12 to 13 at idle and from 6 to 9 at WOT.

I'm thinking this sounds like the Comp box so I'm going to call Edge tomorrow. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything silly first. AND I'm supposed to go on a trip (900 miles) next weekend so I really need to get this lined out.

Any help is appreciated, TIA

Calling Edge is the best idea.

Do you have the Blue Chip cover? Did you use a volt meter when hooking up the wire to insure good contact?

Just some ideas.

If you think it's the box call edge, they are great about fixing you up. I called yesterday about my comp, one light stopped working and a new one should be here by thursday.

If it gets here on time I'll really brag them up.

Not sure what a Blue Chip Cover is... . do I need one? What does it do?

Didn't use a voltmeter for the pump wire either...

I went home a lunch time and called Edge, seemed like good people. They told me to RE-check my connections and if it still had a problem they would warranty the box.

I said a little prayer, jiggled some wires and WHAMO it's working again. I guess the trick is to wiggle the wires ONE MORE time than what you normally would...

Oh well, thanks for the help...

Does this sound like the pump tap wire?? Would the Blue Chip Cover fix this??

Thanks,

Ryan
