It sounds to me that you would need the comp to fit a 98. 5 - 2000, rather than the 2001. Check your current EZ and see what model number it is. If it ends in A it should be for the 2001, and B is for 2002. If there is no letter after the model then it fits 98. 5-2000. As for the advantages of Comp over EZ, they are numerous. The big one being that the comp gives 5 levels instead of 3 which means more power, up to 120 HP and 250 TQ if I recall correctly. Plus you can adjust the fueling sublevels for each of the comp's level without having to change jumpers or anything like that. If you go with the drag comp, you gain some extra power by having the chip continue to add fuel all the way to redline rather than defueling at 2700 RPM like the standard comp.
