Call me stupid, but what exactly do the three internal settings on the Edge EZ do? My truck is all stock, other than my EZ, what position should mine be set in for optimal power? If anyone could help, I would appreciate it! Thanks!
Setting 3 (default) - fueling comes on at 3 PSIG boost
The timing advance is always functional. Maximum power won't vary with the settings - the lower settings are there primarily to reduce smoke, especially with bigger injectors.
To switch between 1-3 from the cab. Didn't notice any difference seat-o-the -pants. Then I put in the DD2's. Still not much difference in the Seat meter but holy cow what a difference in the amount of smoke on a hot day.
Stock truck with a load and the EZ will give you a quick puff of smoke. It takes the bigger injectors to start making clouds.
The bottom row of jumpers is common. Then put a pin on 1 and 3. Hardest thing was finding little one piece pins to solder to the end of the wire.
Just for my own grins I have LED's in the cab to follow the switch. Yellow for mellow and Green for GO!!! Although Go in a 11K lb. truck aint what you'd imagine.
