I have been looking at the CTS lately and I am wondering if anyone can share their experience with this unit in cold weather. I park my truck outside all year round, so I am concerned about damage to the unit during the extreme hot and cold temps when left in the truck. Anybody have any thoughts or experiences to share on this topic? Will I be OK or would I have to bring it inside with me everywhere I go?

I thought I'd bump this thread. I, to, am looking at getting a CTS. Have you purchased an Edge CTS yet? If so can you (or anyone else for that matter) answer the above question?

Thank you,

Gabe

Yep, I decided to buy the CTS over Thanksgiving weekend. So far I have not encountered any issues with the unit in cold temps, but temperature has not really gone any lower than say 20 degrees or so overnight yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed... I have not heard of any issues despite web and site searches so I think I am in the clear.

My concern was really single digit temps or lower... I thought that some of our Canadian members might be able to comment since some areas in the great white north regularly see consistent temps WELL below 0 for extended periods.

I like the CTS so far,no complaints. I like the fact that I have all gauges in one place, as opposed to multiple gauges and routing/wiring for them. My only dissapointment so far is that the injector balance diagnostic feature is not available for my truck... I was looking forward to that feature. Maybe I will experiment with the "other" category on the vehicle menu instead of selecting the Dodge protocol and see if it shows up.

Still playing to find the right selection of gages (I use the analog screen) to give me the best feedback for my driving conditions. Right now I have rail pressure, boost, coolant temp, RPM and mileage coach set to average.

I'm going to try the datalogging feature to see what is happening on my drive to work. I travel the same route daily and fairly consistently so I am interested to compare information from both legs of the trip over a few days.

I will be adding a pyro in the near future and posibly the back-up camera.

I have had the CTS for just over a year now, it has worked perfect. cold weather has not seemed to effect it, it just starts when I start the truck.
I'd recommend you get one, and with the pyro guage.

good luck

Than you both for your comments. It looks like a great tool.
