I do not want something that has been rushed to market but it would appear to me that a conscious decision was made to develop and field the 4. 5+ first and put the sorry saps that have 305/555 on ice.
We are not worthy.....
MABurns,
Of course we all know that this product was not (using your words) "rushed to market". I have been a Beta Tester for Edge on the 555 since last May. The only problem I had with the 555 Juice was that it kept throwing codes. In August Aaron call and told me that the decision was make to put the 555's on hold because the development of the 600 would help cure the 555 issues. Believe me, it was not to "put the sorry saps that have the 305/555 on ice". It was in our interest this decision was made.
It's unfortunate that is has taken so long to get the Juice on the market, however, like most of us here, I don't know a thing about developing this kind of product and like everyone else, I am at the mercy of the experts. This happens in many professions. I know that Edge has done everything within their power to get the Juice on the market, it is for their best interest. They are just like any other business, they can't stay in business without selling a product!
Some of us have more patience than others. For me, I have been willing to wait. I have owned every one of Edge's boxes for the 2nd Gen and have dealt the them on a couple of upgrades and returns. There customer service is second to none! As for their products, there was nothing better for the 2nd Gen!
While the Juice with Attitude may not have the overall HP performance of the TST, I think that Edge has more interest in looking out for the consumer and not suppling a box that will tear up your truck right away. If you remember right, the first TST's Power Max was so radical, it was blowing turbos, clutches and transmission's without any warning from TST that 90% of the truck would not be able to handle the power without major upgrades. They eventually reprogramed the Power Max to be more user friendly. The Juice with Attitude is much more sophisticated than any other box on the market, with several new cool features.
Now this is not to knock TST or anyone else. Having dealt with Edge for many years, I know that they care about the consumer and their reputation and they want to do the best for both.
EEngle,
Aaron also informed me that there will be a "FREE" upgrade to the Hot Juice for anyone that wants it. It will not be available for a few months. He didn't say what the max HP would be, but he did say that I would definately be happy with it!
I talked with Aaron yesterday after he email me, and he said that I should have a new 555 Juice with Attitude in a couple of weeks! Oo. I'm willing to wait!
