Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Edge Juice/Attitude thoughts????

I put mine in thursday and I love it!!!



Edge is doing a free hot un-lock for the TDR members which is awesome IMHO.

I can tell a big difference in this module over the Comp. It feels more agressive down low and level 6 is just amazing



I took out my "A" piller gauges and mounted the Attitude moniter right in front of the hazzard button. Can you say sleeper??? I already had one guy in a Subaru laughing at me becaused I have a 6" exhaust tip and no gauges. His laughter changed into shock with the turning of the light though. I just wish I could have seen his face. But alas, too much smoke :-laf



Mine is serial # 39 so I guess not too many out there yet.

set to #6 as well. seems to fuel better then the comp down low like you said. no defuel= . (prob the same as a drag comp)i kept the pilar gauges and mounted the Attitude monitor down below the head light switch@ first but moved it to the top of the colum so i could see the display when the set warnings go off.

Hey guys, how was the install? Im trying to decide between the edge/attitude for my 02 HO 6 speed or the smarty? Right now i dont have guages and the edge for the price looks better because for the price, you get a chip plus gauges. I priced a set of gauges and they can run anywhere from $350-450 depending of what you want. Right now i my truck is stock. I have a 5 inch exhaust coming and i put a fass system on already. Whats your thoughts on the edge with the stock clutch? How will it hold up. I do like the responds on the smarty. It looks like the smarty with my a good choice with the right set of injectors. I really like mine all the settings you can mess with is great! I had a fueling box before with no gauges and with the price of gauges it was well worth selling the other box and getting this one with more gauges than you could ever want. As soon as I get back from vacation I am going to send in for the hot unlock code. from what everyone says it is worth it (got to be worth it if it's FREE). One question I have is "is anyone going to make an a-pillar mount for them and if someone does could you let me know who?"

The install is a piece of cake. I could probably do it in 15 mins.

If you put the Edge Juice on, your stock clutch will be hating life. Probably wouldn't hold over level 3 maybe level 4.

I would like to try a smarty at some point. It sounds awesome.

A-piller mounts should be out for the atitude for the 98. 5-02 trucks within the month.

I love mine , i haven't had one ounce of trouble and it put down some good numbers aswell. I am waiting for the pillar mounts to come out, i hope they come out with some dif options.

go to edge web site and print off a copy of the " we are not liable for anything that goes wrong" waiver. Then fax it in during buisness hours after you fill it out. Don't put credit card info just your info and TDR member number. Then call them a couple hours later when you can sit in your vehicle. They'll have you put the code in while your on the phone with them.

Where is the best deal to buy one. And does it hook up like my ez. already have gauges. does it use the pyro or reads off the computer for egt. thanks andy

Love mine it works great. Like the ability to monitor so many engine functions. IMHO it's better than having guages and a box. One thing I have wondered about, How long is it going to take Edge to update their online registration form? Still goes not have a choice of Juice w/attitude on drop down menu.

Is the egt limit still only 1500* and what boost #'s have ya'll seen, if it reads off the map senser does it read over 40? Will it defuel a heavely fueled truck when towing?

I've been told by someone it reads over 50 PSI



You can simply hit enter twice and that brings up a menu for how long you want to turn the defueling off.



You can set it as high as 1500. Boost has no limit, I think.



I love mine. Stronger off the bottom then my VanAaken and lot more on top. And this is untapped. I will be tapping mine when my warranty is up next month. Electric fuel pressure gauge is nice!

I just talked to edge today and they have stopped the hot juice upgrade for free now if we want the 6th setting it will cost us 100. 00 Just wanted to let everyone know.

I switched from the edge comp box to the juice w/attitude and love it. i think the truck actually performs better with the attitude. Also got the 6th stage :-laf that thing is awesome.

Attitude Variables

Anyone know what the Engine load % variable is measuring? Been interesting watching the numbers it generates - there are times when I upshift from 4th to 5th that the numbers go from say 24% in 4th gear to 34% in 5th running around 55. This an indication of better or worse fuel milage in the particular gear? Also interesting is the injector pump was getting a bit worn and milage had dropped from 16-17 down to 14-14. 5. Milage came back up to 16-17 with the initial install. Just changed the pump, and wow - faster start ups, smoother running, and the load numbers and boost have gone up and changed from where they were - course only two days, hard to tell what is up yet. But curious if the load % number can be used as a way to select proper gear for best mileage.

Just put mine in Friday morning and love it! Have not tapped the wire yet, my transmission is a little weak, and when I first fired it up I got the low fuel pressure alert. New Bully Dog pump coming Monday.
