I installed my Edge Juice w/Attitude today. I took about 45 minutes to do the install. Get the ladder and tools out, etc. I took my time and made sure I followed the instructions exactly. Very simple install. Started up and everything exactly as the manual said. I had no codes or any problems. Tie wrapped/velcroed everything and was done. I did not install the pyro. I will use my pyro gauge to monitor this for now. My dealer has already done injector replacement with my gauges installed. So I can remove the Juice and Attitude in about 15-20 minutes and look just like I did before.

Tested all 5 levels a little, too much traffic on the road to do real performance testing on all levels.

Level 1 Mileage = Smooth running, maybe a little more responsive. I hope this will really improve mpg.

Level 2 Tow = Smooth with a little more power at mid range, dont have anything to tow, so not sure if I need this level.

Level 3 Drive = I like this level, first time I have really seen any BLACK smoke. Just a good puff when WOT from stop. Feels good, definitely much quicker acceleration.

Level 4 Race = The puff of BLACK smoke got much bigger and the 315s are very easy to break loose. Might be my normal setting.

Level 5 Extreme = I gotta find a ricer to smoke. Ok this setting does make the 48RE slip a little and on asfault I am sure I could keep the 315s spinning until I let off.

I nailed it from dead stop, no power brake. From stop to about 85 at all levels. It got there quicker on each level(Of Course). EGTs under 1200 on level 1,2 and 3. EGTs did not get over 1275 on level 4 and got close to 1300 on level 5. Boost never got over 33psi.

I will play as much as possible in the next couple of weeks. Going the track on the 27th, maybe next Sunday and get some real world numbers to compare.

Local group planning a Dyno Day soon and I will find out the actual hp/torque numbers then.

For now all I can do is: :D :D :D

I can already see that mpg is something I will just stop worrying about. I am not sure I can keep it below level 3. I know I will not be able to go a whole tank without Lead Foot syndrome.

Maybe on a long trip I can set level 1 and cruise control at my normal 78mph.

Can you post an "at night" picture of the display with the cluster in the background? I'm curious how they did with their lighting and how it will match the stock lighting. Thanks.

I blasted around town when I first got mine set up but now that I am "over it" I drive around town set at level 1 so I can get my mpg's back.

The cool thing is being able to bump up the level on the fly to smoke the rice burners and other knuckleheads. :p Absolutely shocked the crap out of a dork in a Tahoe last night who wouldn't let me merge.

The responsiveness is what I like the most. Mine are all set at max settings.

Biggest improvement for me was it got rid of the funky "premature" up shifts at all settings.

Freaking diesel is back to $2. 15/gal again in SLC. Will drive in lower settings for a while! :(

It should be interesting to see how that 48 RE holds up to the extra power before you have to bomb that also !! ;)

Level 1 is kind of inconsequential for me at this time. Cruising at a steady speed and going from 0 to 1 provides no difference in throttle percent or egt, but at 62mph, I shouldn't expect too much.

Yup, I like this. Was towing in everything from 0 to Race (4) last night. One can watch the egt go up in 3 and 4 but the throttle % doesn't change to maintain the same speed on cruise. Of course, acceleration is a different story.

Very responsive in 3 and above, with 2 being noticeably better than stock for getting up to highway speed with a trailer (5500lbs). In 4, the convertor didn't like to lock up without letting off. Sometimes it shifts like it has reprogrammed the shift patterns and coming home tonite, it shifted like its old self - have to back off at 52mph to get it into 4th and lockup.

Mileage towing is 0. 2mpg better over the basically the same route as last weekend. I'll be going on a trip in a few weeks with a full 4-place enclosed and I hope mpg reflects and improvement.

Night illumination on the stock setting is very good. At dusk and in the early morning, it is so-so.

Edge Attitude Extreme on Todays Trucks Show

Did anyone see the show Trucks today? Stacy had a new Dodge with the Edge Attitude Extreme(?) Anyone see/have one of these? I believe it had the GPS, remote wireless camera for the back and 5 performance settings.

Night Pic

Here is a pic at night. Not the best pic but about as good as I could get. The digital screen is easy to read at night. Like said above sun in wrong angle, dusk or dawn a little hard to read sometimes.

I had mine right there for a little while. . I didn't like how I could see the whole dash cluster so I moved mine in to the cubby whole... Still isn't the best place for it. I'll figure out where to put it some day :D

Here is where I had mine mounted, until I send it back to Edge for upgrades. Still haven't gotten it back. It's for the 555 engine. :{

It's out of the way but easily accessable.

Maybe I'm seeing things... but isn't that a "Check Engine" light I am seeing on your dash? Did the Edge cause that?

Clayton,

What are you doing for a transmission? Your 48RE must be hurtin.

It was hurting until DC replaced the whole thing under warranty :-laf For now I am just going to take it easy on my little stock transmission. I have a buddy that has a completly built aftermarket transmission sitting there in his shop just waiting for me to buy it from him... I have a couple of more bucks I need to save before I get it. I'm still waiting for the upgrade for the attitude/juice too  :D

I have a question for those with the Juice/Attitude installed. Have you touched the Edge Juice computer module while it is running? My unit feels very hot to the touch. I dont know if this is the normal operating temp for the unit, but my experience with computer circuitry tells me that it is operating at high heat levels and that this will potentially shorten the life of the equipment. If I get time I will contact Edge with this question.

You are right. I was a Beta Tester for the 555 Juice with Attitude, it did throw the code. That is why I returned it last July for updates and Edge went full bore into the 600 Juice and put the 555 Juice on the back burner. I have not see the Juice since last July. :{

BIG BOB,

BTW I received my CB mount I ordered from you. Even heavier duty than I expected. The mount looks great. I had to choose between installing the CB and antenna or the Juice w/Attitude Saturday when I had a couple of hours. Afraid the Juice won out. Expect to install the mounT and CB this weekend.

Thanks again.

That's great John. I think I would have made the same decision! Oo. Oo. Let me know how the mount works for you.
