Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) edge juice w attitude transmission Probe

Long story short: I need a new temp probe for my transmission. Napa has one but is it the same as Edge? Both are 1/8 npt. I want to get this installed this weekend but edge can't get a probe to me until tue because of the holiday. Any info or advice?

It might or might not be the same. Probably not, but you never know. Get the specs from both manufacturers and compare them. It's a 1 wire temp sender, so it basically shows resistance to ground proportionally to temperature.

I called Edge to try to get some specs on their probe and the guy didn't know anything. He was completely lost on the whole thing. The napa product is also a one wire sender. Is there any way to test the resistance in these? Does any one know what resistance the edge units have?

The same senders will have the same resistance at the same temperature. However, I have no idea on the specs on either one.
