Mark...
Here is a little quip on my quest. I'll pull no punches and tell it like it is. Drop me a PM if you want the whole story as I'll not slash and bash here...
I decided on the EEP pulling assembly. While as some say(or cry)its a noisy unit,I'll take that, knowing when I want it to hook its there. Lots of stories were told to me when I was searching for a good unit for my "show pony",my decision was made on lots of research, previous customers praise(both TDR & Non-TDR members) and knowing how much abuse personally I have seen these units take(Ever see Ol' Sleddy try to row a stick, its like a novice butcher ruining a filet). Since its install I have had to re-learn to drive it as I was used to tip toeing around, now its hard on the loud pedal as I see fit. There have been a few out here who have been educated knowing the hook is there. Hook it will, where you want it and when you want it too.
I tow nothing, haul nothing(other than my 6'9" 450lb carcass) and street drive my truck daily(Although I heard Sleddy is plotting a way fo me to get it all dirty). Its a daily driver which gets polished and waxed more than my hardwood floors(Most of the M-D TDR members will attest to that). I run about 15,000 miles a year, mostly short distances back and forth to work, with a occasional road trip. Most say this is way more clutch than I need,I say BUNK!!!. One to many past experiences have taught me there is NOTHING ever as too much clutch. Is it right for you?... Depends on your finances. Is it the most street friendly unit??... Maybe not, but, that is something I have learned in way to many years of the performance game, give a little-take a little. WILL IT HOOK??... . That is a question that you will not worry about,it will hook.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me. Its your truck and your choice, shop smart my son and stand by your decision... ... Andy
