Oh I know that there are alot of top guys with 03's its just the "poor me I have a 03 syndrome "



The 04. 5+ guys get all the cool parts and easy extra HP. We just have to spend more $$$ to get the same HP.



I just hope the the future EFI Live will give the same results to us 03-04 owners as it does to the 04. 5+ owners... unlike Smarty and Crazy Larry

Ask most that mod trucks... the injectors are major limiters for the 03-04. 5 trucks. I usually see them make low 500 hp range with stock injectors. Change the sticks and watch them make power!!!

Tomeygun changed his sticks and even did a CP3 mods and he's still playing catch up with the 04. 5+ guys who still have stock sticks and CP3.



I dont mean to upset anyone I just stating the facts in the things I read here.



I'm fully aware that the Highest HP, Quickest, and strongest puller's out of the 3rd gens are usually 03-04



Its still a mystery as to what makes the 04. 5+ make more HP mod vs mod. Many say its the injectors but that myth hasnt been busted just yet. Maybe its the slower processors???



This topic always seems to bring out all the naysayers. :-{}



It isn't like I have 600HP so what do I know. I probably would if I had a 04. 5+ already

My truck has all the right mods and still can't break 600hp!

a lot of the hp #'s have to do with 2 things: 1--- is it a matched , tuned combo.

2--- is it a accurate dyno , some can read over 50 hp difference

There is no EFI live in existence for our trucks AND there is no plan to produce EFI live for our trucks.

I know tommy has done the cp3 and injectors and he is over 600 or at the border... . ahhh also I just remembered... the 3rd injection cycle which is not present in the 03-04. 5 trucks. I know Marco stated that they have seen over 100 hp losses when disabling the 3rd injection cycle. There is the missing piece of the equation watson. I had forgotten about that since injectors and pumps were covered.

I would say it takes injectors on an 03/04 - But the same 04. 5+ can do it without injectors. For example my buddy KevinO has the Cp3 mod and with TST/EZ he cant get over the 550hp hump (same dyno that I made 604hp on) - Whereas I was about 526 without sticks...



I think I remember Piers made 600+ on TST/EZ/CAM/TWINS -stock cp3 and sticks...



Ahh heck I have no idea. But I'll take my 03 over an 05 anyday

I have an 04. 5 and i have the third injection event. It is the same motor as your 05. Am I wrong here?

I'm assuming there's something hard coded that the smarty guys can't touch that if you turned off hte 3rd event that it jacked up things to the point of high EGT and low HP.



Assuming complete control of the programing, in theory you can turn it (3rd event) off (and move the timing around) to mimic a 03-04 truck could you not? I'm assuming not here for reasons that is different in hardware between the 2 motors.
