EGR Brake Hoses

Anybody try their new brake hoses yet. My 99 has great brakes-very little pedal movement and brakes feel solid. My 96 feel like sponges-much more pedal travel and mushy feeling. My 96 is a 4x4 ex cab dualie which I use to tow 80% of the time.

I'll be orderin' a set myself when I place my order tomorrow morning with EGR! I'm also going for a complete set of their Severe Service Brakes for my '98. 5 Ram (but NOT the rear disc conversion... the minuses outweigh the pluses IMO... money notwithstanding).

I put them on my 95. I noticed my factory ones were almost rubbed through from contact with the tires. I ordered just the front set cause funds were low, (seems like everything is breaking at once) I also replaced the calipers because the bleeders were frozen (replaced with raybestos rebuilds) and new pads.



Even with just the front hoses, my pedal seems alot firmer and stopping power has definately increased. I'll probably do the rear hose this winter. (If nothing else decides to fall off in the meantime) I'm very pleased with EGR's hoses. Very nice looks and very well made. The mechanic that lives across the street was very impressed, and he is extremely fussy. (he is my emergency tool and part supplier... LOL)



Edit: I can not really give a true testimonial to just a hose replacement since I also did calipers and pads, but I never noticed that much of a difference in feel when doing calipers and pads on my other vehicles. My pads werent worn much, but while I was there... .....

Thanks for the reply. I will order a complete set (front and rear) tomorrow. I also plan on changing rotors and calipers also. I will let you know results.
