I've been away for a while, but don't recall seeing this topic:
How does the EGR system work on the 2007 with 5. 9?
I understand how EGR works, in general, but want to find out where the exhaust gas is taken from and where it is put back into the intake side of the 5. 9.
What I am leading up to is this:
1) what down side(s) would there be to blocking the EGR system (other than violating emissions)?,
2) is it possible to block the EGR system?,
3) will it cause engine codes to be set if the EGR is blocked?
4) if the EGR is blocked, will it result in cleaner oil over a longer period?
Thanks,
Jim
