Electric door locks, but not all of em?

So after traveling and locking the truck with the key control I find out that the drivers side rear door never locks??? tried the childproof deal, doesn`t lock from drivers door either? So what do you suggest or has anyone else had this happen???? Check yours just because!! Thanks in advance!

there is a previous thread on a shorted wire in that door. it manily covered 03-05 but my 06 is driver rear door is acting up as well. something abouth the wire going into the door to short and streches or something.

My driver's side rear door wiring failed on my '03 recently, too (I had first noticed a failure of the lights to come on when the door was opened, and later the failure of the power lock circuit). After having a dealer diagnose it, I let him go ahead and splice in extensions on all the wires to fix it (not cheap, but he was already into it).

Pull the rubber boot between door & jam (just a regular screwdriver will pop the boot out of the door and jam - they snap right back in)... You'll probably find broken wire(s), I just repaired mine with heat shrink butt connectors. . so far so good, has lasted a little over a year so far. I'm sure eventually there will be more broken wires - they make a pretty healthy bend on the rear doors because of the doors opening to almost 90 degrees! Good luck, Kevin

Mine was fixed approx. 2 years ago at dealer. Now it's back,any good ideas on how to fix to eliminate problems in future?Also,why is it only driver's side rear door not passenger?

There is more of a kink in the rear doors.

mine has been like that for a 6 months now. . my drivers rear gets used almost as much as my drivers door. every day i go into it to load in my backpack and lunch box for work. no power lock no door light. i think i lost a ground wire as both crapped out at the same time. worked going to work but didn't unlock coming out from work and no light. window still works though so maybe not ground... ?

I replaced my left rear door harness in 2006 and it's still holding up. About $150. 00 Canadian if I remember right. Got it under warranty though.
