I would like to assemble a list, per se, of all required electrical devices, power sources, and controls, for each circuit for a factory 1st Gen to operate normally. I'm not concerned so much with which wires and what color, more what devices, what kind of power they require (constant 12v, metered 12v, computer-controlled), and if possible tips for upgrades to the factory harness.
This 'list' would be invaluable for anyone wanting to do a conversion and can help troubleshooting.
What I can think of are:
- Message Center. Computer controlled?
- Intake heater grid. Computer controlled? What governs the timing for the warm-up cycle, and what tells it to stop for normal ops?
- Fuel heater. On with ignition, regular constant 12v power from any source?
- KSB soleniod. Computer controlled? Ignition controlled?
- Oil pressure sender
- Water temp sender
- Water-in-fuel sender
Please add inputs or corrections, and any tips for reliable power upgrades to any circuits.
