Elk Ivory Jewelry

My wife would like to have a necklace made out elk ivory. We're having a hard time finding any jewelers in Maryland that can work with it. Anybody have any suggestions?We dont have a problem dealing with a jeweler in another state,just need some recomendations so we know who we're dealing with.

If you have Indian Reservations any where near they will be willing to do the work. I think that the selling of ivory is the main problem you will run into. If a jeweler were to have posession of ivory, proof of ownership would be important. I think this applies to all 7 types of ivory.

We already have the ivory. There's a ton of jewelers out west that make jewelry. We are just looking for referals on how does good work.
