If I put 265/70-17 tires on the front of my truck and 305/70-17 tires on the rear of my truck, can I drive it?

It's 4 wheel drive.

As long as I don't put it into 4 wheel high or low I should be ok, right??!

Why is left to right no good?

It looks like I've actually got a 245 and 265 for the front and the two 305's on the back.

I only need to go about 3 miles ... .

hearingyour - - You won't have any trouble, put the 245 and the 265 on the front and the 305's on the rear, don't play race car and you'll be OK may set a code for the ABS, but it will clear up after three starts after you get the same size all round again.

if you don't have a locker or limited slip differential, you can mix & match what you like for a quick fix to get you going again. if you have a limited/locker in the rear, you need to match left/right sizes so you don't bind the differential up. up front you are open diff [unless modified] so a mix matched set won't do any damage in a short run

[i cooked the clutches in a gm/eaton G80 by having a mix matched set in the rear 265/75/16 one side and 245/75/16 other side and had to drive on pavement for a ±50 miles - you could feel it pulling bad. . ]
